Creating an inclusive and diverse work environment for gender and diverse communities does not mean excluding race. As Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) who are also transgender and non-binary, we find ourselves at the intersection of race and gender. For instance, many QTBIPOC individuals hesitate to speak up about workplace issues for fear of termination, a concern that has only been exacerbated over the years. These concerns persist even within our 2SLGBTIQ Community spaces, which should be sanctuaries of safety.

Our experiences often preclude feelings of safety in such environments, as can be illustrated by the music we dance to in public spaces.

The unique experiences of QTBIPOC individuals differ from those of their peers in the broader 2SLGBTIQ+ Community. Join us in the "Learn to Swim" program, a lifelong journey where we will introduce you to the water, teach you the fundamental movements, and combine them into playful activities. With your love, dedication, and commitment, we assure a progression from skill to skill, starting with basic movement skills, agility, balance, and coordination.

You will learn about water safety and movement skills, strength development, and how to glide and float on your own, transforming fear into enjoyment.

We will instruct you in basic swimming techniques, including all the strokes (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, and Butterfly Stroke); it's your choice what you want to learn.

We also provide knowledge on the basic use of swimming equipment, among other things.
