QTBIPOC LIASON AT THE 2SLGBTIQ+ WELLNESS CENTRE
The Centre facilitate streamlined access to trans and gender diverse healthcare in Alberta.It is also connected to additional professionals (with an emphasis on primary care) in the community who provide care to the trans population.We aim to provide compassionate and easily accessible care while working to de-pathologize gender diversity.
As a QTBIPOC Liaison at the wellness centre my work is to elevate Black and POC voices while providing and creating Black Trans- centred solutions to issues faced in the wellness and health sector to the needs of the QTBIPOC Transgender, non-binary and gender diverse community in the lens of health care provisions at the Centre.

CPATH - SAFETY & WELLNESS HELPER/ CULTURAL GUIDE
We provide wisdom and skills at the Community Advisory Circle of CPATH which is crucial to the health of all trans, non-binary and gender diverse people with a special focus on Black, Indigenous and racialised gender diverse community members
Our role as safety & Wellness helpers/Culture guides for CPATH Community Community Advisory Circle is to help share the future vision and direction as an organization. We assist with opening and closing the event to ensure a culturally and spiritually safe-enough environment.

We advocate for change in policies and legislation to further amplify voices of the Transgender community.
Through Stonewall Canada we organize and create community safer spaces for a cause entering the most ignore voices in the 2SLGBTIQ+ Community and those who are always left on the margin
Black Trans Lives Matter Movement a group of people committed to centering & serving the most marginalized members of our communities, leaving no-one behind!

We are often invited to speak about Compassion, diversity and inclusion from an intersectional point at Conferences, Peaceful Rallies, Community Organizations, High institutions of learning, High schools, Colleges and Events. We often share our stories to open eyes and symphasize with the comminty interns of building compassion and collaboration.

SPEAKER
Adebayo was honoured to amongst the Speakers at Alberta Second Annual Integration Summit hosted by Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA) in conjunction with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) which was held in Edmonton, Alberta at the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South, September 19, 20, and 21, 2018.
Adebayo presented and spoke about diversity and inclusion from an intersectional lens which involved exploring the barriers LGBTQ refugees and undocumented immigrants face, particularly regarding systematic racism and how to assist refugees to access trauma informed and culturally sensitive healthcare.”

Adebayo was humbled to be PANELISTS AT “Building Empathy, Conquering Apathy” symposium which was held at the Robbins Health Centre “The Heart” on the main floor of MacEwan University. May 17 2017 the panel was moderated by Michael Phair where he bravely shared his Story with attendee.
He advised decision makers about improvements that can be made to reduce psychosocial stressors within the 2SLGBTIQ+ Refugees and Newcomers and the QTBIPOC population.

Adebayo was honoured to be the opening Speaker at the inclusive Health Conference hosted at University of Alberta by the Medical students alongside Michael phair in 2019.
Adebayo shared his story and presented about the importance of supporting and inclusivity of 2SLGBTIQ refugees and Newcomers together with the 2SLGBTQI+ history and called on for a powerful challenge to attendees to consider our privilege #InclusiveHealth19

The Council provides advice on efforts to combat racism and promote more inclusive and accepting communities across Alberta.
Adebayo joined the counciled in 2018 under the NDP Government and served until 2021 on June 12 2021 I formally handed in my resignation to the Hon: Minister Leela

Flag Raising Ceremony TRANS DAY OF REMEMBRANCE.
Adebayo was honoured to be among the speakers at the flag raising ceremony on the Transgender day of Remembrance organized by provincial government (NDP) in 2017/2018.
The event was attended by leaders in the 2SLGBTIQ+ Community, the Provincial leaders and other members of parliament.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Adebayo was invited on behalf of the government of Alberta and The Honourable Premier Jason Kenney to attend the Black History month event geared to recognize the diverse background of Black Albertan and honour the history of Black Pioneer.
The event took place at Royal Alberta Museum on 13th of Feb 2020 (invitation only) and was attended by members of the Legislative Assembly.

MR.PRIDE UGANDA
Adebayo was crown Mr.Gay Pride in Uganda in 2015 after a contest that took place in Uganda (East Africa).
We held a gay pride rally in a sacred place after the Anti-gay Legislation allowing for life imprisonment for “aggravated homosexuality” and banning the “promotion of homosexuality” was annualled by Uganda’s supreme court the year after the bill passed. We marched to send a message to the wider population that Gay people exist in Uganda and they demand their rights.

STONEWALL ALBERTA 2019
After the cancellation of Edmonton pride festival reciting that the issue was about the political climate and not coming clean to community, Adebayo and Raricanow was blamed for the cancellation of the event by most members in the community
On june 28th 2019 the anniversary of Stonewall we took the community blame to the street and hosted a peaceful protest that saw more than 5k people when our community met on Alberta’s Legislature grounds to commemorate the Stonewall Anniversary and continue centering the voices which are most ignored in the community and being stonewalled after the Pride festival board called police on Black Trans, Racialized and disabled Queer folks who showed up to the meeting to show their support.

Adebayo was honoured to speak at St.Augustana u of a campus pride week in March 2019 as a representative of the government of Alberta Anti Racism Advisory Council together with Mr. Feisal Kirumira (Chair of the city of ) the event was attended by the Dean Mr. Berger and Bruce Hinkley MLA Camrose Wetaskiwin
Adebayo signed and awarded recognition certificates to the community members, students, lecturers recognizing extensive contribution to the Augustana and Camrose community through continuous effort to create an inclusive campus
