I am Adebayo Chris Katiiti (He/Him/THEY/Mwami/Sebo), the founder of Raricanow, a leader at Stonewall Canada, and an international human rights activist. As a frontline 2SLGBTIQ+ activist, I was part of the community members who asked the Edmonton Pride Festival to disinvite police and military from Pride events and to create more spaces for trans youth. The festival declined and called the police on QTBIPOC individuals, which led to the inception of the Stonewall Blacktranslivesmatter movement.

“Stonewall is not a pride festival. It’s not a week in June for people to party. Our community needs ongoing support, ongoing care, and ongoing love. I am dedicated to reclaiming QTBIPOC spaces and advocating for inclusion, focusing on the voices of marginalized individuals who are often sidelined. In 2017, I created a documentary that showcased the unique psychosocial needs and socio-cultural complexities of LGBTQ refugees in Canada.

In my work, it's evident that individuals connect with me due to our shared life experiences, and the most effective outcomes are fostered through a therapeutic relationship.
